SRD defines a set of media attributes that a MPEG-DASH enabled HTTP server can signal to a client.
The attributes defined in SRD describe the spatial relation of MPEG-DASH media on the HTTP server.
SRD enables use-cases such as zoomable and navigable video and bandwith friendly 360 degree video.
The video player below allows zooming and panning in MPEG-DASH SRD videos. It contains the URL of a demo video. Clicking Open video will retrieve the video and start playback. By double-clicking, the video can be zoomed in. At a maximum of two times, after that double-clicking will zoom out. Panning can be done with a left-mouse button hold and moving around. The demo is currently for notebooks and desktops only.
